Upcoming Performance Information

We are excited to announce that the next student performance opportunities will be Saturday, April 5th for our Spring Recital and Saturday, April 12th for Rock of All Ages with the city of Pflugerville. We hope that moving the recitals from May to April will make it easier for our students to join. We know May is a busy month with finals, graduations, travel, etc.

Spring Recitals-

The recitals will be split into two shows on Saturday, April 5th.

Bass, Guitar, Drum, Voice, and Electric Piano-

12:00-1:30 at Way of Life Church - 110 Pflugerville Pkwy

Grand Piano Only -

3:00-4:30 at Pflugerville First United Methodist Church - 500 E. Pecan

The signup window will open Monday, February 24th and will close March 9th. Students (or parents/guardians of minors) will be solely responsible for signing up. The link to sign-up will be emailed schoolwide on Monday, February 24th at 12pm as well as posted in the lobby. Sign-up will end at midnight on Sunday, March 9th. Students should begin song selection as soon as possible, as song choice must be declared at the time of sign-up. This is so that there is ample time for your child to practice thoroughly, and so that we can best plan the event.  There are a limited number of performance slots in each recital session. Time slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the considerable amount of planning required to put on our recitals, no late sign-ups will be accepted. Cost to perform - $15 per student. The recital fee will be added to your April monthly tuition draft. Do not pay your teacher. We prepare awards, and programs and rent the church based on anticipated time needed. The recital fee is nonrefundable once processed.

Participation is optional, but students are encouraged to join. We do not grade or judge the performance. We want our students to showcase the work they’ve put into practicing and attending lessons. We want this to be fun and build confidence. Perfection is not expected. We’re just friends enjoying our kids playing music. If your child is not ready to perform, we welcome you to attend the recital as an audience member. It can be helpful to know what to expect at a recital, and the extra applause is always appreciated. If the date doesn’t work for you or your child is new to lessons, we’ll have another showcase in the fall.

Rock Of All Ages - Performance Opportunity

The city of Pflugerville is hosting its first-ever Rock Of All Ages event and our students have been invited to perform! We are hoping to gauge interest to secure an appropriate amount of stage time, so if you'd like to participate please reply to this email and let us know! We will provide more details as soon as we can; until then, here is the blurb from the city of Pflugerville:

“Rock of All Ages”, a community event allowing children of all ages and skill levels to play music on stage for the public on April 12th from 11-3 at City Hall in the plaza. We intend on having a food truck, rock painting, rock climbing, and live music from the next generation of rock stars.
