Keiko grew up in Kanagawa, Japan and began learning piano at the age of 4. As a young child she enjoyed performing and writing compositions. She appeared in many public concerts and competitions as a soloist in the Yokohama and Tokyo area. Keiko earned her Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Okinawa Prefectural Art University in 2004. Keiko received additional training from the Yamaha music foundation and became a Yamaha method system teacher. From 2005 to 2010 she taught music and piano at several Yamaha Music Schools near Tokyo. Many of her students regularly entered piano competitions and were very successful throughout the area. Keiko moved to Texas in 2012 where she now lives with her husband and children. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping people grow in their love and enjoyment of music.
